De Paris à Prague
Leoš Janáček began composing his violin and piano sonata in 1912, hoping Russian troops would liberate Moravia from the Habsburgs. His work, infused with patriotism, blends folk influences and rhythms. Meanwhile, Claude Debussy, with his *Rhapsodie* for clarinet, breaks from Romanticism, adopting an impressionist aesthetic. Viktor Kalabis, influenced by the Prague Spring, composes a grave and rhythmic sonata, reflecting the oppressed rebellion. Finally, Francis Poulenc's clarinet sonata embodies the post-war Parisian lightness. This musical program, performed by Lilian Lefebvre and Vincent Martinet, celebrates the rich cultures of Prague and Paris.
