A walk on the Scottish moor, orchestrated by a relentless nature: "The daughter of the King of Scotland // walks alone on the moor // Seems a stranger // to the fact that I follow her. "
Michel Lysight's music uses the same instrumental formation as Schubert's famous Lied Le pâtre sur le rocher. The piece alternates different atmospheres, dreamy, passionate, obsessive, romantic, but musically illustrates permanently the feeling of inexorable "march" of the main character.
