Ysaÿe - six sonates
Ysaÿe's Sonatas have accompanied all my musical life.
Recording that complete work appeared to me self-evident from the world of sound into which Ysaÿe's virtuosity leads us. As he was himself the first violin in a quartet, and had created Debussy's Quartet, he was undoubtedly sensitive to that permanent, infinite search for pure sound—and his sound one can unmistakebly recognize when listening to his recordings.
My father, a cellist, has passed on to me that passion. Now it is my modest turn to try and share it with you.
