The Barber of Seville is one of my favorite operas. It is a subtle balance between theatre and bel canto. It demands its interpreters to be true actors, capable of moving us and of making us laugh, at the same time as accomplishing the most impressive vocal feats. My evenings spent in the pit playing the 'Barber' have allowed me to imagine these variations. Each one of them is dedicated to my friends in the Vendôme quartet. I wrote the works with them in mind.

Play one or play all of them, invert the parts or keep the same ones and play them in the order that you wish. Breathe well, prepare your staccato and your fingers, it's all yours...
