Trio in B-flat D. 471 - Franz Schubert (1797-1828)
Transcription : Guillaume Jouis
String Trio in B flat major may refer to two compositions, D. 471 and D. 581, each written for three stringed instruments by Franz Schubert in 1816 and 1817 respectively. They were the only two string trios Schubert wrote, and both were written when Schubert worked as an assistant elementary school teacher. Author Melvin Berger noted that both look back to eighteenth century forms and styles rather than ahead to the nineteenth century methods of composition with which Schubert was later identified.
