For Wind Orchestra
The Hector Berlioz Roman Carnival Overture is one of the works in the repertoire of harmony orchestras, in the tradition of classical transcriptions appreciated by orchestras and the public alike. These adaptations then met the criteria of the period in which they were created: the concerts were given mainly outdoors, thus requiring a different orchestral thickness from the acoustics of concert halls. In addition, to facilitate reading like instrumental playing, the score was often transposed.
